- Is there a dress code for adults?
Adults have no dress code. We do ask that you wear proper gym or dance attire to class. Black yoga pants and a tank top are always best for adult classes. Long hair must be pulled back off of neck and no loose jewelry.
- Is there a registration fee?
Yes, a $20 registration fee is due at time of sign up. The fee covers administration fees, newsletters and secures your spot in the classes you sign up for.
- Can we watch the class?
Yes, we have an open door policy. We do ask for the Tiny Classes parents refrain from coming into the classroom and remain in the lobby during class. This allows students to focus during class and helps teachers keep the class in order without distractions. We will soon have a TV monitor in the waiting room which allows you to watch the class without disturbing the students and teachers.
- What are private slots?
Private slots are sessions that a student can have with a master teacher. During these sessions a student can choose to work on dance technique, choreography or have a routine developed for them to either compete with or perform at the end of the year recital.
- How do you know what level you are in?
We offer 5 different levels here at Candy's.
- Tiny Classes are offered for ages 2-7
- Level 1 are offered for ages 7-10
- Level 2 are offered for ages 11-14
- Level 3 are offered for ages 15-18
- Adult Classes are offered for ages 18+
Depending on your ability level, you may place higher or lower than your age level. The best way to see what classes are best for you is to call the academy and speak with our friendly staff.
